Obituary of Rose M. Gordon

Rose M. Gordon, 80, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021. The widow of Mike Gordon, Sr, Rose was born August 17, 1941, in Frankfort, Kentucky to the late Ezekiel “Zeke” and Charlotte Shearer Burke. A woman of faith, Rose loved the Lord. Rose loved cooking and taking care of people. She was an elegant, beautiful, and patient woman. Her hugs lasted seconds longer than most, she loved you too much to let go. There was never a moment when you didn’t know you were loved,  when she wasn’t saying it, you felt it. She and her husband were soul mates. She loved his jokes and he loved making her laugh. They loved watching the sun set and their morning coffee. Even after his death, her love for him grew. Exactly eight years after his death, Rose joined him in heaven, where their forever truly begins.

Rose is survived by her sons, Michael Gordon, Jr and Jeffery (Darlene) Gordon; a sister, Betty Lou McElmurray; grandchildren; Jeremy (Deonna) Gordon, Brandon (Amy) Gordon, and Justin Gordon, all of Frankfort; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00p, Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd, Frankfort, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Grandchildren will be serving as pallbearers. A Visitation will be held from 6:00p until 8:00p on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at the funeral home.
