Obituary of Phyllis Kirkland

Phyllis Kirkland, 75, wife of Charles Kirkland, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. She was born in Woodford County on October 11, 1945 to the late Bill and Blanche Dunn Ritchey. She was a member of Palomar Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Sherri (Jaime) Cruz, Lexington, Budd (Debbie) Kirkland, Union, and Kim (Pedro) Ramirez, Versailles; her brother, Ronnie (Marion) Ritchie, Versailles; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Rose Crest Cemetery, Versailles with Rev. James Heard officiating. Serving as honorary casketbearers will be Manuel Kirkland, Matthew Villa, Cole Kirkland, Shawn Rogers, Steven Ritchey, Marty Ritchey, Jeff Ritchey, Phillip Ritchey, Taylor Bragg, Samuel Bragg, Dale Ragland, and Rodney Ragland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
