Obituary of Eva Mae Hurt
Frankfort – Eva Mae Hurt, 73, widow of James A. “Jim” Hurt, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021. A native of Lexington, she was born on October 22, 1947, to the late Harold and Mildred Garlan McCullough. She loved her children and her family. Eva took pride in her home, loved to garden, and was a great cook. She spent her life taking care of others, even people who were not her biological family.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Carl Howell) Starcher, Frankfort; her sons, James D. (Lorie) Hurt, Frankfort, and Cronley (Joe Cottrel) Hurt, IN; her sister, Debbie (Mike) Russell, Lexington; her brothers, Larry (Geraldine) McCullough, Georgetown, and Gary (Penny) McCullough, Nicholasville; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hurt, Brandon Starcher, Mason Howell, AyRis Hudson, Embry Hudson, and Rae Lynn Haas; as well as her great grandchild, Levi Starcher.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Visitation will be from 11:00am until start of the service at the funeral home. Rev. Kyle McDaniel will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Leslie Hurt, Larry Vanover, Caleb Vanover, Austin Russell, Joe Cottrell, and Cronley Hurt.
