Obituary of Betty Joyce Curtis

Betty Joyce Shepard Curtis, 86, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021. A native of Frankfort, she was born on August 5, 1934 to the late Raymond Shepard and Josephine Smith Shepard Mills. She was a sales associate for Walmart. Betty loved to crochet for her family, kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews.  

She is survived by her daughter, Victoria Figueroa; her sister, Patricia (Ed) Dipold, OH; as well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Ralph Hellard and Rusty Batdorff; her sisters, Wanda McDonald and Virginia Smith; and her brothers, Harold Shepard, Billy Shepard, Ruben Shepard, Allen Shepard, and Cecil Shepard.  

No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass. Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd is in charge of arrangements.
