William David Glenn, III

October 10, 1967 – April 22, 2021

Richmond, Kentucky – William “David” Glenn, III passed away April 22, 2021 at the Hospice Care Plus Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY. David was born in Louisville, KY the youngest child of William David Glenn, Jr. and Juanita Jordan Glenn. David attended St. Matthews Elementary and Waggener High School. After graduating from high school, David attended Eastern Kentucky University, graduating in May 1990. David valued the education he obtained at EKU, which prepared him for his career, and he always talked of the fond memories he had with his lifelong Sigma Chi fraternity brothers. David met his beloved wife, Paula Wagner Glenn, at Eastern Kentucky University where their love story began. They married November 21,1992 and lived in Lexington until a couple of years ago when they decided to move back to where it all began-Richmond, KY. David was the very proud father of William David Glenn, IV and Colin Douglas Glenn. David’s work history included working for GlaxoSmithKline for 17 years, Novartis Oncology and Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) in oncology for 5 years. David had 14 years total oncology experience, and he thrived on working with his “teams”. The past two years his BMS team won the “Winners Circle Award”, and David recently won the prestigious “BMS Summit Award”. Surviving David are his sons, David IV and Colin, his stepmother, Donna Broadway Glenn, his sister, Amy Honnerlaw (Shawn Honnerlaw) and several nieces and nephews. David was heartbroken when his wife, Paula, predeceased him April 15, 2021. Also predeceasing David were his father, William David Glenn, Jr. and his mother, Juanita Jordan Glenn. The combined Celebration of Life to be held at Clark Legacy Center in Nicholasville will be Sunday, April 25, 2021 with a gathering of family at 1:00 PM, friends at 1:30 PM and a service at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either.
