Obituary of Clyde Reed Childers

Lexington, Kentucky - Clyde Reed Childers (57), husband of Laura, died on March 3, 2021. He was born on November 6, 1963 in Pikeville KY to the late Mary Winstead and Kenneth Morris Childers, Sr. where he spent a happy childhood with brothers Kenny, Jr. (Sarah) and John (Becky). Clyde later settled in Lexington and was blessed with a son, Reed. Clyde is also survived by stepdaughter Ashley (Milton) Estrada, stepson Patrick Wilson, stepmother Sue Childers and stepsiblings Melissa (Jim), Jack (Mason) and Miles (Jennifer), brother-in- law Jim Lafferty, along with several nieces and nephews. Sports were an important part of his childhood and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He played a lot of golf with Reed, rain or shine. He loved spending time with Laura at their backyard pool. Clyde was always entertaining his many friends at home and at UK football games. He brought a light to any room he entered and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
