Obituary of Hailey Nicole Smith

Hailey Nicole Smith, 16, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 9, 2021. She was born on January 17, 2004 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Hailey worked at McDonald's and was a junior at the Family Care Center. Most importantly, she was Zoey Kate’s mom. She loved everything about being a mom and Zoey Kate was her entire world. Hailey had plans of joining the National Guard and become a social worker.

In addition to her daughter, Zoey Kate, Hailey is survived by her mother, Brandy Workman; maternal grandmother, Mary (James) Jurin; uncle, Jack Jurin; maternal aunt, Stacey Towles; paternal aunts, Anna Smith and Donna Stallings; and several other maternal and paternal aunts, uncles and cousins. Hailey was preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Lee Smith; grandfather, Ole’ Pap; and great uncle Wayne Workman.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Friday, January 15, 2021 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an educational fund for Zoey Kate. Account information for this will be updated as soon as it is available.
