Obituary of Lois Elaine Foster

Lois Elaine Emery Foster, 89, Charleston SC, passed away December 30, 2020, with her sons by her side.

She was born December 5, 1931 in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She lived most of her childhood in Brainerd, Minnesota. She moved to Lexington, Kentucky in 1947 and received her Registered Nursing Degree in 1949 from Good Samaritan Hospital.

June 13, 1955 she married the late Rufus Coleman Foster, Jr. with a private ceremony at their home in Lexington, KY. She resided there until 2015 when she moved to Charleston, SC.

Lois is survived by her two sons: Rufus Coleman Foster III of Charleston, SC and Barry W. Foster of Lexington, KY. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren: Bradley W. Foster of Lexington KY, Melanie R.Boles of Murphreesboro, TN, S. Brice Foster of Lexington, and S. Miranda Collins of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren. Lois was predeceased by her loving huband in 2011.

Lois was a charter member of Hill-N-Dale Christian Church.

A brief Graveside Service will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetary on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 1:30 pm. Following the service there will be a time of remembrance at Hill-N-Dale Christian Church from 3pm - 5pm.www.clarklegacycenter.com
