Obituary of Carl J. Swieterman

Carl J. Swieterman, 85, died peacefully at his home on Friday, November 6, 2020. He was born on June 23, 1935 in Dayton, OH, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from IBM after a long career. He is survived by his bride of 60 years, Joyce Forte Swieterman: daughter Sondra (Bill) Whaley of Kettering, OH; son Michael (Tammy) Swieterman of Nicholasville, KY; twograndchildren – Eric Whaley of Cincinnati, OH and Kevin Whaley of Grand Rapids, MI. and sister Lois Tousey of Lincoln, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Alvira Swieterman; two sisters, Miriam Steinbicker and Mary Robinson, and two brothers, Ralph and Robert Swieterman.

Visitation will be from 9:00am – 10:00am on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020 at the Cathedral of Christ
the King followed by a memorial mass at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be
made in honor of Carl to your favorite charity
