Obituary of Jean Linn Morrison Hackett

<b>Obituary</b> Jean Linn Morrison Hackett, born August 12, 1942 in Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on August 9, 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital. Her parents were the late Colonel (US Army Retired) Scott D. Linn, DDS Wava Bowman Linn. She attended the University of Florida, was a member of Chi Omega Fraternity and married her college sweetheart, Thomas H. Morrison in 1962. In 1982, he suffered a fatal heart attack. After his death, she completed her education at the University of Kentucky, worked for the College of Business and later joined the staff at Kentucky Educational Television as a development officer. She retired in 2002. Active in many community organizations, she most recently served on the board for the Ronald McDonald House. She enjoyed various Bible studies, investment clubs several bridge groups where cherished friendships enriched her daily life. She was a member of St. Andrews Anglican Church in Versailles, Kentucky. In 1995, she married Robert (Bob) Hackett and during their 14 wonderful years, he was her best friend. She is survived by her sons, Thomas H. Morrison, Jr. and wife, Beth-Ann of North Palm Beach, FL; Jeffrey Scott Morrison and wife, Valerie of Lexington; her grandchildren, Thomas, Andrew and Abigail of North Palm Beach, FL, and Jeffrey (Cole), Connor and Cameron of Lexington; her only brother, William Scott Linn and wife, Karen of Melbourne, FL, and children Robert, Craig, David, Jim, Genevieve, Stuart and Tommy; her beloved sister-in-law, Elizabeth Morrison Dunaj and husband, William of Coral Gables, FL, and children, Elizabeth "Ebby" Hogue and husband Scott of New York, Katherine Pedroso and husband Carlos of New York, and Robert Muraro of Houston, Texas. She was also blessed with Bob's three daughters, Sherry Mertel and son Zachary of Greensboro, NC; Karen Thomas of Pleasant Valley, NY; Lisa and husband, Greg Tuyn of Snyder, NY. She was preceded in death by infant twin granddaughters, Jennifer Lauren Morrison and Elizabeth Megan Morrison and by her in-laws, Thomas J. Morrison and Elizabeth Herring Morrison. <b>Funeral Information</b> A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Friday, August 14, 2009 from 4-8 PM at Clark Legacy Center, 601 E. Brannon Road. A memorial service will be Saturday, August 15, 2009, 10:30 AM at St. Andrews Anglican Church in Versailles.
