Obituary of Curtis Edward Summers

<b>Obituary</b> Curtis Edward Summers, 82, of Nicholasville, widower of Evelyn Summers, completed his long journey home on Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Thomson Hood Veterans Center. Curtis was born October 29, 1927, in Benton, Illinois, to the late Levi Summers and Florence Harris Eaton. Curtis served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and was a member of the Stephen Decatur Masonic Lodge #979. He was retired from the Lexington Blue Grass Army Depot. Curtis is survived by his two children, Janice (Roy) Webster and Steve Summers, both of Lexington, KY; and four other children to whom he was also a dad, Larry (Kathy) Rhineheimer, Lawrenceburg, KY, Bettye (Kermit) Shaffer and Louanne (Wes) Davis, both of Nicholasville, KY, and Steven (Kim) Rhineheimer of McDonough, GA. He also had 11 grandchildren, Heather and Brandon Webster, Bobby Joe and Wendy Summers, Larry, Derek and Jessica Rhineheimer, Chris and Tim Davis, Krista and Nathan Rhineheimer; and 12 great grandchildren, Tyler, KayLynn, Kimberly, Kayla, Kamryn, Damon, Joseph, Bridgette, Kaleb, Madeline, Mason, and Landen. He was preceded in death by his brother Dale Summers, his loving step "mom" Hazel Summers, and a stepfather Richard Eaton. <b>Funeral Information</b> A Memorial Service will be 11am, Friday, May 14, at Clark Legacy Center, with Pastor Steve Pearson officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
