Obituary of Douglas Reynolds Kindred

<b>Obituary</b> Douglas Reynolds Kindred, 73, of Lilly Lane, Paris, KY, husband of Janet Lynne Kindred, passed away peacefully in his home Saturday, June 13, 2009. He was born Feburary 5, 1936 in Middletown, OH, son of the late Clyde Kindred and Adelaide Kindred House. Doug was a retired Freight Relocation Specialist (truck driver) with Roeder Cartage and was a veteran of the United States Navy from April 1953 to November 1961. He served as a radio and sonar repairman on a destroyer, an aircraft carrier, and a GATO class submarine during the Korean War. He is survived by a son, Dwayne Andrew (Kim) Kindred; daughter, Danielle Kindred; stepdaughter, Kelley Newkirk; and stepson, Dustin Purcell. Doug had one brother, Ricky Lane Kindred of Winchester, KY and two sisters, Jean (Elmer) Crouch of Winchester, KY and Marcia ("Dickie") Willoughby of Clay City, KY. He has 10 grandchildren, Courtney (Ryan) Spradling, Kyle Kindred, Dillon and Jess Phillips, Jenna Mammen, Shea Smith, Kris, Randy and Jacob Foster and Lana Newkirk along with several nieces and nephews. <b>Funeral Information</b> Memorial service will be at 11 am Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Ruddles Mills Christian Church, 3804 Millersburg Ruddles Mills Road, Bourbon County, KY.
