Obituary of Michael Wayne Leach

VERSAILLES – Michael Wayne Leach, 74, husband of Gene Carol Leach (Barlow), passed away Friday, September 25th, 2020 at his home. Born on July 14 1946, in Versailles, son of the late Granville Lee and Anna Leach (Durbin). Mr. Leach was raised on the family farm, and loved farming at an early age. He graduated from Woodford County High School in 1964. He was a veteran of the National Guard and retired from GTE. He was a member of Southside Christian Church. In addition to his wife of 49 years, he is survived by two brothers, Granville Lee Leach, Jr, Vernon Ray (Mary) Leach, a sister, Sandy (Bill) Frakes; all of Versailles: mother in law, Dana (Henry) Ruth Williams, Lexington; sister in law, Dana (John) Keener, Joilet MT, brother in law, Hank Williams (Florence); nieces and nephews Laura (Luke) Mitchell and Abby Frakes of Versailles, Jr Leach (Chicago), John Andrew Keener (Billings), Candace (Jason) Pattee of Helena MT, Joshua (Megan) Keener of Herriman UT, and Eli Keener (Joilet, MT); great nieces Evelyn and Sadie Mitchell of Versailles; Harper, Finley, Norah, Marley Pattee of Helena and Aila Mae Kenner (Herriman UT); a great nephew; Noah Keener of Herriman UT. Funeral services will be 1:00PM Friday, October 2, 2020 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, with Reverend Bobby Cairell officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Serving as casket bearers will be, Lucas Mitchell, Jr Leach, Vernon Leach, Robert Richardson, Rick Wallin, and Kenny Houston. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00AM until the time of service.
