Obituary of Verna Mae Clemons

Verna Mae Swicord was born on July 17, 1947 in Bainbridge, GA - daughter to Josephine and Howard Swicord. Verna grew up with 8 siblings - all girls - so you can imagine what life was like for their daddy! Life for Verna was filled with happy times of attending school and going out to the fields to bring her father lunch with her grandma. Verna loved her family so very much, and delighted in learning as much as possible from her grandma and school teacher. She had a natural profound respect for the love and care her parents showed all of their children. It was the timeless wisdom she admired in her elders, and the strength in which they carried out their day. Verna knew she wanted to share that type of well rounded nurturing love and educate others as she had received it too, so when the time came for her to leave and venture out on her own, she left for Rochester, NY! Verna married and had two beautiful healthy children. A son; John, and a daughter; Necole. She worked at Strong hospital in the emergency room but that was a prelude to where she was going with her service to humanity. Verna and her first husband divorced and as God would have it, her amazing ability to pour into others and make them feel healed and renewed was just getting started. When her daughter turned about 7 months old she met a man that would change her life for the better. She knew that man would be her husband for the rest of her life. She said they would talk as often as possible for as long as possible and he would court her with the utmost respect and kindness. They had fallen instantly in love and were inseparable. They have even served on panels for others seeking that type of lifetime partnership Verna and Gene found in each other. The kind of unconditional love many spend a lifetime searching for. Verna had been found by her twinflame; her highest octave of soulmate love. They welcomed a beautifully blessed son named Jeffrey into this world. In 1976 Verna enrolled in (and I quote) ,“ a life changing phenomenon. Little did I know that this would become a lifestyle that I had longed for as long as I can remember. I became a Bahá’í.” Verna raised her family in accordance with Bahá’í principles and submerged herself inside of her communities. Whether it was her neighborhood, work, or spiritual communities - her lasting impact will supercede generations to come. The blessing she bestowed upon the hearts and souls of anyone who graced her presence would be felt for not only years to come but for their lifetimes too. For Verna Mae Clemons was creating her incredibly profound legacy of pure humbled servitude towards humanity. From the City of Peace, to educating and serving the masses, Verna has shined her light across the entire world. She has affected millions as she served as a beacon of light that affected change in everyone she was connected to. You will hear personal testimonials from children who grew up to be grandparents themselves. You will hear their love for Verna as she changed their lives in ways they share with their legacy today. You will understand and appreciate the way she never had her doors closed to anyone seeking help and prayer. Verna by trade was an educator but by spirituality and life purpose she was the purest angel to all of us who were blessed to be a part of her generous positive pure heart loving energy. When Verna chanted the earth shook. When Verna sang your heart cried out to the high heavens with every note. When Verna spoke the melody of her voice was angelic and divine. When Verna loved she loved with her whole body heart and soul. When Verna taught and served as an Administrator in the school districts God sent her to, she changed lives. Verna brought children into her home, fostered them, nourished them, loved them, she was their saving grace. Often her children’s friends would come to visit Momma Verna, Ms. Clemons, Mrs. Clemons, Momma V, Mom Dukes, Mz. V, even when her own children were not home - or even living there! Verna was that type of soul. Her life was service to all. She began her own business venture to help bullied and special needs children and their families in 2019. She worked so very hard on getting her business up and running. Verna also began her own podcast. She even traveled with her daughter on events and speaking engagements and served as her business partner, best friend, manager, spiritual teacher, and trusted advisor and guide. She helped her new online community while supporting all spiritual superstars, and encouraging everyone to feed faith, trust God, and seize the time to do something great! She would remind everyone to stay humble and don’t forget to tithe! Tithe in some way shape or form even when it’s not financial; give, be of service to humanity. Earlier this year, Verna used every platform and form of communication she had to be sure everyone was praying for peace to cover this world. Verna’s legacy reaches far above and beyond her as she accomplished all these lofty goals while unknowingly battling for her life. Verna Mae Clemons is the height of the loftiest most pure station under God as she lived her life in incomparable consistent servitude to humanity, giving of herself in every single way, serving in her life purpose and mission in life, while motivating and inspiring everyone to serve in theirs. Verna Clemons viewed death as a transition into the next cycle of life and eternal transformation into the Abhá Kingdom. Verna taught that the soul lives on even when it’s time for the body to go back to bless this mother earth because the holy spirit is alive and well within each and everyone of us. She wants everyone to live life to the fullest and impact change because this world needs prayers of healing, and collective movement in divine love for one another. Verna is and always has been a pure loving gift to everyone who knew her. Verna’s soul lives on inside of each and everyone of us. That - we MUST remember and use it to continue HER legacy of service to humanity. Celebrating her transition to the next station of celestial life in the Abhá Kingdom is her loving husband of 49 years, Gene; sons, Jeff, and John, and daughter Necole; step children, son Brian, daughter Lynette and son in law Sigmund; grandchildren Samantha, Ashley, Josh, Jeremiah, Rubiroze, Darian and Alana Clemons and many many others, family and friends alike. We are all blessed to have known Verna Mae’s earthly presence for as long as we have, and even more humbled in loving adoration for God that we will always know her human will never know pain or sadness ever again, as she has been welcomed home to serve her eternal life with The Almighty, and her ascended loved ones as the pure Angel she always was and will always be. May the blessings of God shine upon Verna, her blessed transition and her kind gentle shining soul! For she is one with our ancestors, our guiding light, and loving angel.
